Eagles Go Undefeated in Faith Classic
Ankeny, IA -- Faith men's basketball heads into Thanksgiving break on a tear following their 3-0 performance at the Faith Classic. The Eagles earned wins over Providence (84-64), Trinity Bible (91-77), and Kuyper (91-67).

The Eagles kicked off the Faith Classic against Providence on Thursday, seeing five players score double-digits on their way to the twenty point win over the Pilots. Providence stormed to an early 11-2 lead, scoring a three just 19 seconds into the game and going on their run from there. The Eagles made went on a run of their own, forcing five turnovers in three minutes and not allowing their opponents to score in that time. Faith regained the lead with 13 minutes remaining in the first half, a lead they would keep the rest of the game. Providence stuck around for the first half, entering the break down 31-38, but the Eagles stayed in control for the rest of the game to eventually walk away with the 84-64 win to start the week.
Friday saw the Eagles face off against Trinity Bible in a game that saw 8 lead changes and 3 ties. The first half was once again a back-and-forth battle, as neither team could find much of an advantage. The Eagles made a push in the last two minutes to take an eight point lead into haltime, leading 49-41. Faith locked in defensively in the second half, only allowing 36 points from their opponent in the final 20 minutes and finished the day with a 91-77 win. The Eagles saw four players score double-digits, led by Asa Lafleur with 23 points/8 rebounds.
Faith closed out the weekend with a 91-67 win over Kuyper on Saturday. The Eagles led for 39 minutes, their largest lead of the game by 30 points with three minutes remaining. Faith put together a complete first half, scoring 55 points while holding the Cougars to 29 through the first twenty minutes. Mason Gorsh led all scoring with 34 points, Landon Brahs and Jackson Lockard added 15 apeice, and Quensy Ferguson dished out 10 assists in the victory.
The Eagles head into Thanksgiving break with a 4-2 overall record, and are 2-0 in North Region play. They will finish out the semester with five games in two weeks beginning December 2nd.
