Faith came into Saturday's match knowing that they would need a strong effort to be able to stay with the Eagles of AIB. After a shaky start and allowing a goal just four minutes into the game, the Eagles responded with scoring threats of their own. Freshmen Elizabeth Hemsworth scored her first goal of her young career to tie the score at 1-1. A free kick at the 13:51 mark found it's way into the back of the net to put AIB up 2-1. The Eagles tightened up their defense again and the score remained the same headed into halftime.
AIB netted another goal ten minutes into the second half to push their lead to 3-1. Faith quickly responded when Kirsten Passwaters broke free on a breakaway just minutes later. A great finish gave Kirsten her first goal of the season and hope to the Eagles as the score was just 3-2. However, the tough game the day before in Minnesota and the long trip back began to show as the Eagles grew weary. AIB pulled away with a strong effort in the second half to win the game 9-2.
