Faith Wins In-State Rivalry Over Emmaus
Ankeny, IA -- Faith women's volleyball got back into the win column with a 3-0 sweep over Emmaus University.
Tuesday's match marked the second straight top ten opponent for the Eagles as they welcomed #7 Emmaus University to town.
The home Eagles won in straight sets, 25-20, 25-19, 25-19. Codie Wirges led the charge on offense with 10 kills and 3 aces, while Qwynn Nerem assisted on 26 of the team's 30 kills. Victoria Nerem dug the ball 10 times, and added one block and three aces on the wait to the Faith victory.
Although Emmaus kept every set close, the Eagles were able to maintain their lead and 13 different players saw the court in the MCCC win.
Faith is now 6-3 on the season, and 1-1 in MCCC play as they look forward to hosting the Faith Classic this weekend.
