Blevins Leads Faith to Record Finish
Joplin, MO -- Faith cross country finished their final races of the season at the NCCAA National Championship Meet
Faith finished the year well at Nationals, with three top 15 finishes and a couple of huge milestones for the women's team.
Carlie Blevins finished her sophmore campaign as a two time All-American, and the National runner-up, improving on her third place finish in 2024. Blevins ran slower than her top time, but it was enough to finish nearly 30 seconds ahead of the next finisher. Becca Hulinsky finished second for the Eagles and 13th overall, just missing out on her third All-American nod. Jelena Bausch, Lydia Mueller, and Leah Leary pushed their placements high enough to give Faith third place overall with 104 team points. Third place marks the highest team finish for the women in program history.
Brian Rohde raced fast, sitting around 10-12th overall for the beginning of the race, but ultimately dropped to a 15th place finish to close his freshman year. Ethan Smith was the next finisher for Faith, placing 57th overall. Ben Hackley and Brandon Smith finished 1/10th of a second apart, while Maxwell Johnston and Andrew Hackley finished out at 66th and 68th place respectively. The Eagles placed 8th on the men's side, but ran well despite the finish.
