Eagles Earn Two All-Region Nods
Dubuque, IA -- Faith cross country kicked off postseason with some friendly competition at the NCCAA Super-Regional meet
For the first time this season, the Eagles had a chance to compete against an only NCCAA DII field, and they rose to the challenge.
Brian Rohde and Becca Hulinsky each earned All-Region honors for their top-7 finishes in the race, and the Eagles saw three season bests and two career bests on the day.
Becca Hulinsky finished first for the Eagles, setting a season best at 20:47.1 and earning the All-Region nod with her 7th place finish. Lydia Mueller followed with a season best 22:26.7, and Jelena Bausch (22:56.6) and Leah Leary (24:39.2) each ran career high times during the super regional. Due to prior commitments, the Eagles only sent four to the meet and as a result could not place as a team.
Brian Rohde finished in fifth place on the men's side, with an All-Region time of 29:16.8. Ethan Smith was the next finisher for Faith, running a solid time of 33:25.3. Ben Hackley finished with a season best 35:11.6, and Christian Farr (36:54.0), Maxwell Johnston (38:09.7), and Andrew Hackley (39:41.7) rounded out the team times, earning the men a 6th place finish.
