Men's Soccer Signs Brahs
Ankeny, IA - Gavin Brahs, from Saint Francis, MN, has committed to the Eagles Men’s Soccer team, signing his letter of intent for the 2025 season.
Gavin is the son of Justin and Stephanie Brahs and comes to the Eagles from coaches Caleb Dickens and Bernie Boldt's team at Saint Francis Christian School. In his time with the Patriots, Gavin earned all-conference awards in both soccer and basketball, and he was named the 2024 MCAC MVP as he led his team in assists and scored the second most goals. The Patriots finished the 2024 season with a record of 14-2, winning the Tier 1 Soccer Tournament Championship.
"I am very excited for Gavin to join the program." Shared head coach Gary Backous, "He has all the tools needed to contribute as a freshman. He is physically imposing and very smart with the ball. Gavin could contribute at three or four different positions this fall. Our biggest challenge as a coaching staff will be finding the right place for him."
Gavin shared that he looks forward to continuing his education and soccer career at Faith. He added, "I hope to bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a team-first mentality. I am always willing to put in the work to improve, support my team, and contribute to the team's success."
Gavin will pursue a degree in Organizational Leadership while at Faith.
