ANKENY, Iowa—The Faith Eagles men's soccer team could use a breather right now. Unfortunately, it won't get one as it plays three games in five days this week on the heels of its toughest stretch of the season which continued on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to unbeaten Viterbo.
The Eagles are weary and tired following a four-game losing streak, and the news that second-leading scorer Carson Odle will likely miss the remainder of the season due to injury only compounds the situation.
Faith enters an important homestretch of their season with six games remaining—five of those against conference opponents. It starts on Tuesday with a home match against Union College at 4 p.m. The Eagles defeated Union 2-1 in overtime earlier this season. Homecoming Weekend includes games against Ozark Christian College on Friday at 1:45 p.m. and Calvary University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
