LINCOLN, Nebraska – The women's volleyball team concluded their regular season Tuesday night with a 3-0 win (25-10, 25-14, 25-12) over the Union Warriors, adding another win to their record before heading into conference tourney weekend. The Eagles had a very successful season record under the leadership of long-standing coach Lanny Nihart, even managing to secure the highest regular season win/loss average (14-7 for 67%) in the last 7 seasons for the Faith team. Their grit, team collaboration and strong rookie presence has proven to be a threat in the conference all season long.
The Eagles face their first opponent in the Conference Tournament on Friday, playing Calvary at 1:00 PM for a shot at the #1 Manhattan Thunder. The Thunder have gone undefeated in the season against conference opponents, winning all 10 matches against MCCC teams, sizing up to be a sure challenge in the tournament.
