Men's Basketball Signs Kirkman
Ankeny, IA – The Faith Eagles Men’s Basketball team is excited to announce the commitment of Sam Kirkman from Fayetteville, AR. Sam has officially signed his letter of intent to join the Eagles for the 2025-26 season.
Sam is the son of Kevin and Becky Kirkman and is a standout from Farmington High School, where he played under Coach Johnny Taylor. During his high school career, Sam scored 744 points and earned multiple All-Conference honors, Player of the Week recognitions, and was named MVP of the 2023 Regional Championship. While Sam was part of the program, the Farmington Cardinals captured two Conference titles, two Regional championships, made multiple Final Four appearances at the state tournament, finished as 4A state runner-up, and posted an outstanding 96-11 team record.
Reflecting on his upcoming journey at Faith, Sam shared,
"I am looking forward to experiencing college in a positive, Christ-honoring environment and getting to play with a team that emphasizes Christ first, but competes hard."
He hopes to bring a winning mindset and carry his past success into his collegiate career.
Head coach Brian Fincham expressed his excitement, saying,
"We're thrilled to have Sam join our team! He's competed at a high level and will help us stretch the floor with his shooting. More importantly, Sam and his family love the Lord, and we're looking forward to having him be part of our program next year."
At Faith, Sam plans to pursue a degree in Organizational Leadership.
