ANKENY, Iowa—After a pair of losses to ranked opponents over the last seven days, the Eagles were able to get back into the win column on Friday night with a 91-54 win over Free Lutheran Bible College.
The Eagles set the tone early, jumping to a 15-1 lead. They never trailed and led by as many as 50 in the game. Faith outrebounded Free Lutheran 46-20, and scored 44 points in the paint, compared to 20 for FLBC.
Six players scored in double figures for the Eagles: Jared Pearson (19); Jayce Goergen (14); Kalab Sidlinger (12); Jason Conable (10); Christian Brown (10); Noah Boyer (10).
Faith improved its record to 8-9, and has a chance to even its record on Monday with a home game against Emmaus Bible College at 6 p.m. Seven games remain on the Eagles' schedule before conference tournaments begin February 18 in Dubuque, Iowa.
