Faith Athletics Finishes Third in NCCAA Presidential Award Standings
Greenville, SC -- Faith Athletics finished third in the final NCCAA Division II Presidential Award standings for the 2025-26 academic year, capping a thrilling athletic season with their highest ever finish in Presidential Award standings.
The NCCAA Presidential Award is presented annually to the top-performing athletic departments in NCCAA Division I and Division II competition. Points are awarded based on team finishes (points earned for placing top 10) at NCCAA National Championships across all sanctioned sports. Faith currently sponsors nine NCCAA sanctioned sports: Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Track & Field, and Women's Track & Field.
The Eagles sent a record number of teams to Nationals in 2025-26, which ultimately pushed them to their third place finish. Faith earned 24 points in the Fall, as four teams qualified and competed at their respective National Championships. Both the men's and women's cross country teams ran, and placed, at Nationals. The women finished third overall (+8 points), and the men finished eighth (+3 points). The men's soccer team finished third (+8 points) at their National tournament, coming up just shy of a championship appearance. Additionally, the third place finishes for the women's cross country and men's soccer teams marks the highest finishes in program history for both teams. The women's volleyball team finished in sixth place (+5 points) with a win during pool play to cap off the Fall sports season.
The men's basketball team added 5.5 more points to the pot, winning two of their three games at the basketball National tournament, and the Eagles finished the year with a record 29.5 total points in the Presidential Award race. The Eagles sent representatives from both the men's and women's track & field teams to Nationals, but neither team acculmulated enough points at the meet to earn a top ten placement.
The NCCAA Presidential Award recognizes overall athletic achievement and excellence across all championship sports sponsored by the association. Crown College claimed the 2025-26 NCCAA Division II Presidential Award, while Bethel University earned the Division I honor.
