Bio
Chris Barnette serves as an Assistant Athletic Director and as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Faith Baptist Bible College after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach in the program. During that time, he played a key role in player development, recruiting, and helping guide the Eagles to continued success at the NCCAA Division II level.
Barnette joined the staff following an outstanding collegiate playing career that spanned multiple levels. He competed at NCAA Division II Mars Hill University and NCAA Division III Covenant College, where he earned multiple all-conference honors and surpassed 1,000 career points while contributing across the board as a scorer, rebounder, and playmaker.
He concluded his playing career at Faith Baptist Bible College, where he earned NCCAA Division II All-American honors in 2023 and was named first team all-conference. His impact as a player, combined with his understanding of the program, has helped create a smooth transition into his coaching role.
Barnette’s coaching approach is rooted in player development, relationship building, and a commitment to Christ-centered competition. He has also been active in skill development and training, working with athletes of various levels to help them grow both on and off the court.
