Davis Selected as NCCAA II Assistant Coach of the Year

The Athletic Department of Faith Baptist Bible College is pleased to announce the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) selection of Erin Davis, head assistant Eagle volleyball coach, as the recipient of the 2012 NCCAA II National Assistant Coach of the Year award.

Coach Davis began her career at Faith as a setter for the Lady Eagles from 1998-2001. During Erin's playing career the Eagle women participated in the NCCAA II National Tournament (twice as region winners and twice as hosts). The 1999 squad finished fourth in the nation and Coach Davis was selected as an Honorable Mention All American for the 2001 season. Coach Erin also participated in the NCCAA II National Tournament as a coach during the 2003 campaign.

Coach Davis has been the head assistant and setter coach for the past 11 years. As the assistant coach, Erin's daily responsibilities include heading up the pre-practice session and closing cool down period.  Erin is also responsible for the development of the setter position and team offensive strategies.  Erin has taken lead in off season player development, conditioning, and plyometric training and heads up spring volleyball workout sessions and weight training.

During the summer Erin directs the Eagles' volleyball camp constructing daily drills, team and individual competition matches and develops the daily camp schedule. Our summer camps are used as an outreach to parents, community and youth to enhance the testimony of our school.  Further, Erin has helped coordinate local and regional Christian service assignments.

As a mother of three Erin demonstrates dedication and enthusiasm to our student athletes.  She continues to bring new technique and competitive drills to our practice sessions and a lot of energy and enthusiasm for our players to model from, always with 100% passion.  On numerous occasions Erin has provided her home for student athletes to study, fellowship or short term housing.  She and her family have graciously provided laundry, meals and other essential utilities needed as a college student.

Congratulation to Erin for this achievement!
