The Faith Baptist Bible College women's basketball team traveled to Minneapolis, MN last Saturday to face region opponent North Central University. Faith lost the game 28-78. The Eagles are now 1-8 on the year.
Kelsey Grider hit the first basket of the game basket to put the Eagles up early. As the game went on, Faith was able to stay close the first 10 minutes. In the next 10 minutes, North Central began to get a few more baskets, but Faith was able to remain close thanks to Jenna Bean's first half 11 points. North Central took a 30-17 lead into halftime. In the second half, North Central held Faith to just three field goals over the first 13 minutes, and two more field goals for the rest of the half holding the Eagles to 5 for 31 shooting in the second half. North Central won the second half 48-11. Bean was not able to score in the second half, but did lead Faith in scoring with 11 points. Becca Saatmann led Faith in rebounds with 12.
Faith's next host North Central University at home on Thursday, December 13th. The game will tip off at 5:30 PM.
