The Eagle men stepped out of conference play tonight for a contest with NAIA Grand View University. The Vikings were simply too much for Faith, as they won 98-61. Faith is now 8-13 on the year.
Grand View opened with an 11-2 run before Faith's Tyler Betz got going. Betz put together his own 15-9 run to pull Faith back within three, 20-17. That would be as close as Faith would get the rest of the game, though, as Grand View responded with a 17-0 run to lead by 20. Faith trailed 30-51 at the half. Faith opened the second half with a 5-0 run but Grand View quickly stifled any hopes of a comeback as they jumped back up by twenty en route to the 37 point win.
Betz led all scorers with 31 points while grabbing 13 rebounds. Josh Whitlow added 13 and four assists. Faith will finish up conference play with a trip to Joplin, MO on Friday to take on top ranked Ozark Christian College on Friday night, followed by Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, MO on Saturday. Friday's game tips at 7:30 PM and Saturday's game tips at 4:00 PM.
